Living in London is a lovely tea room located in number 4 of Santa Engracia Street (Madrid).
As we enter the place, we come across a charming shop where you can buy all kinds of mugs, teapots, candles, etc. The smell when you go in is incredible, it´s a kind of perfume of roses and lavander, and the decoration is beautifull, like an old shop, cozy and sofisticated at the same time.
But if you really want to feel London's atmosphere, you must visit the tea room. There is a little English food shop before the tea room, where you can buy all sorts of cookies, cakes, jams, teas, etc., and the chocolate cake is spectacular. At the end of the shop is located the tea room, with a delicate decoration: we can see little tables where we can spend a lovely afternoon having a cup of tea (we can choose from a lot of different kinds of teas: ice tea, strawberry tea with chocolate chips, etc.
The best of all is the pastry - I recommend a selection where you can try little sandwiches, cakes and the scones (delicious bread cakes over which you can spread strawberry jam and whipped cream). All that is served in beautifull crockery - delicate cups, dishes and teapots with drawings of roses. The price is a bit expensive but it is really worth going if you want to know a different place in Madrid.
